I hate flying....

My wife and her work friends want to make a trip to Vegas in a few months. They have decided to fly, so I need to see what flying with a firearm entails. I have never done this.

Can anyone give me some tips?

Thanks

Not a flyer (flier?), but from the abundance of horror stories, I'd strongly suggest to NOT take any of your favorite or expensive weapons.

Just my 2¢ ... :drunk2:

I've heard the same. A buddy does this 5 or 6 times a year and claims he's never had any issues. I assume there is some insurance one could buy?

I did it a year or two ago, has to be locked with a non tsa lock, tell them at checkin, have to store ammo in a container( not in mags). Sometimes they want to inspect it. Wasn’t that big of a deal
