Feed latch came unstaked on my old Remington 1100. Anybody have one of these I could rent, buy or borrow? I can’t find one in stock anywhere.
Thanks all.

It might be a possibility for some enterprising person with a few shop tools to assist you in making one. You could also do as one of a shotgun forum members did and use a few drops of high strength epoxy.

I’ll probably get creative with it this coming weekend. I am sure I can get it staked back with a little effort. Just wanted to see if anyone had the proper tool. I am going to have to replace the interceptor latch too. Gun quit firing while shooting sporting clays last Friday. Took out the trigger and found that to be the reason.
...can’t complain though, I got the gun (gift from parents) when I was 15 yrs old back in 1987. I have shot A LOT of shells through that gun and it has (had) been problem free.

I have a homemade one, you are welcome to come over and use it. I'll guide you through the process, it takes about 10 minutes.

Nice history you have with it. Hope you get it fixed back up. Only shotguns I have are in the feed barns.

Thanks all for the comments. SPDguns, I might take you up on it if I can’t get it done myself over the weekend. Might have to be taking a road trip up your way anyway to get you the forend for my 1187.
...here it a pic of it (minus the trigger assembly).

I am going to need one of these too - interceptor latch. This piece it what actually broke. I can’t seem to find one anywhere online. I can find them for all other gauges, but not for 12 gauge. Very surprising to me that the part would even be any different between gauges.

take the latch , stick the end under the action bar and snap into place. then put in trigger assembly pin to align latch.
place on solid surface while holding latch. you can use something as simple as a 16 penny nail for a punch and give it a whack.
all its for is to hold in place while assembling/ disassembling. once the guard and pins are in place it doesn't really matter, they hold it in.
if you want to make the Remington tool take a 6 inch piece of 1/2 inch square stock. heat and bend 3/4 of a inch to an "L" then drill and tap a hole in the L and screw in a bolt you have sharpened to a point that sticks out about a quarter of an inch.
stick the sharp point into the staking area and hit the end you have in your hand. I hardly ever used that tool.
I had a pair of 1911 plunger tube staking pliers and just used them and a piece of leather to not scratch the finish.
