I don't personally own one, but have 2 at work. They perform well and snap a battery in and be cutting quicker than fueling up a gasser. We use the saws a little differently than most. We cut holes in roofs for ventilation. 1-2 layers of shingles, plywood, joists, and nails. (Specialty chain)

One of the guys bought one for his personal use before recommending for the fire trucks. He cut rail road ties most of the day for his wife's flowerbed/garden project. He said he couldn't believe how well it worked.

I have a 40v pole saw from Harbor Freight. I worked it pretty hard after the ice storm. It has a 1 hour quick charger. I would throw it on the charger at lunch break just to be safe, but easily worked 5-6 hours.
Amazing! I have almost enough Amazon points to get one for free. You know, I never took electric chain saws seriously - until now. I have a small Black & Decker that I ordered a new chain and two battery packs for last week. And what's remarkable is that the current batteries still work after ten years - but they don't hold a charge very long anymore. I am still leaning toward a gas chainsaw, but the Dewault 60v has my full attention. If I go this route, I'm getting a second battery pack to see the job through. I'm paying my house insurance with the credit card next month and then paying off the card the same day, so I can get enough Amazon points to get the saw for free.

I have the 20V Dewalt. Cut 40+ cedars with it non stop the other day. They are the real deal.

Get an extra chain or 2.

This thread reminded me that the only gasoline lawn tool I own is a trimmer, and I don't like it. I went to WalMart this morning and bought the Hart 40v string trimmer. It is easily the best trimmer I have ever used. The old Stihl trimmer will be on FB marketplace within the hour. I still like my gasoline mower, but it is electric start and always works when I need it.

Edit: I ordered the Dewault 60v and an extra chain and a quart of chain lubricant. I concluded that the biggest cost of this saw is the battery. If this saw performs close to what I watched on YouTube I'll get an extra battery and more goodies for it.
