That entire pod at county would be a better place if they tossed in a grenade or 2. Probably some outstanding warrants among the protestors if they checked.
Police have released more information regarding an inmate who took a correctional officer hostage over the weekend on the 10th floor of the Oklahoma County Jail.
Oklahoma City police officials said Curtis Williams held a makeshift weapon to the officer’s neck before the inmate was shot and killed by police officers. Williams’ family said he still did not deserve to die.
The police department released a report that says Lt. Coy Gilbert, a 23-year veteran of the department, and Officer Kevin Kuhlman discharged their weapons after seeing the detention officer’s life was in danger. Williams’ family, however, said he didn’t have to die, and they want the police chief to resign.
“We’re here today to demand, not ask, Chief Wade Gourley to dismiss himself,” Michael Washington said.
Washington stood with Williams’ family in front of the police department, where they demanded Gourley’s resignation.
