I got a few vehicles, including a 1995 ext cab S10 with the Vortec V6... cold air... new 4L60 transmission... 112,000 miles...

I wouldn't sell it for less than $5,000... honestly I probably wouldn't sell it for that unless I was friends with the buyer... I have people stop and knock on my door at least 1-2 times a month trying to buy it... mostly Mexicans holding a thousand in cash and begging me to sell

The average price of a new car:

1986 $12,651
1996 $18,525
2006 $23,892
2016 $25,449
2020 $40,107

my guess for 2024 $60,000
I can give ya the price Dad paid for a brand spankin' new '65 F100 (352ci, 2bbl, granny 4spd) with heavy duty overload springs, red w/white cab and "chrome" (polished aluminum) strips down the sides... he special ordered it with everything he wanted (lol, no power or AC).

$2500.00...

I might actually give ya $5k for that if you're serious.

Rats chewed the wires on our '98 Crown Vic and have literally put me afoot. :/

One of my sons was at a Chevy dealership today and he called me and told me that they had a sign posted in the showroom. “Chevrolet Silverados Wanted”.

I’m tempted to take mine in to see what they’d offer.

My dad once had a 90 Ford 1 ton Dually with a diesel, the good diesel engine & a 5 spd trans,
(This was before we became educated & renounced everything ford)
I remember he paid 10,000 for it when he bought it, he drove it as a work truck for 4 years, sold it for 10,900. & it had about 45,000 more miles on it at that time.
After he sold it he bought a 96 Dodge Ram with the Cummins & a 5 spd trans & we have never looked back. He still has the 96.

I have had 9 Dodge Cummin Diesel powered trucks, love the engines but hate the bodies. My first one was a 89, it had well over 250k miles on it and the engine has now ran a irrigation pump since 1999, sometimes for weeks at a time. I ordered my last one. ThatI have now an 06 Mega Cab 101k miles on it, as they were giving up on the 5.9. I have had that 5.9 engine in Dozers, Front Loaders and the little 4bt’s in hay swathers. Great engines.
