Trump calls for boycott of woke enterprises

Actually consumer boycotts can work. Earlier in my career, the company I was with sponsored the NFL “Halftime Show”. By the second year of our sponsorship, we received so many complaints from consumers telling us they will not buy our products that we pulled the plug on sponsorship.

Unfortunately it works both ways, but I still have a list of "never buy".

I'm struggling just to limit Chinese purchases. They are enemy #1 as far as i am concerned. I try my best not to give money to people that would like to beat me down. I fail in many instances i am sure.

Agree. Normally the only folks hurt by boycotts are some employees laid off because of drops in demand. Then those businesses recover and a few of those employees get rehired.

But, it helps others feel better.

Their intent is the same. The difference between “boycotting” and “cancelling” as in “cancel culture” ... one whines more than the other.

Will add that much of the “cancelling” is done for the sake of “virtue signaling” and is conducted via public ostracizing/shaming (thus more whining) of a person or company on social media platforms. As well, people or companies could be “cancelled” for something they did years ago. One of the more noticeable examples is what happened to Kevin Hart.

I thought the GOP didn't believe in cancel culture.

Yeah, I don’t think I could buy anything from any company if I boycotted everyone I didn’t agree with. Sure could have a cell phone, internet access, a car, a lot of food... I like to eat.

Hypocrisy comes into play with what has become cancel culture imo, they like to pick and choose. It's okay to three way gal kiss and grab tits on the Grammy's, but in a few months have a Women Done Wrong March in DC.........get rid of Dr. Seuss too, he's not a good influence.

And as this progresses......Colorado's voting laws are nearly identical to what Georgia just passed!!!! Colorado actually allows 2 days less for early voting!!

Its worse than that. Atlanta where the MLB all star game was going to be held is 50% black. Denver is 10%. The voting restrictions in Colorado are more than the new Georgia law. Colorado required voter ID just like Georgia and guess what.....Delaware requires voter ID. The very state brain dead biden calls home.
Both states including New York have stricter voting laws than the current voting law enacted in Georgia.
It's obvious the media and politicians have their head up their arse and never read the Ga bill before opening up their pie holes.
Will they admit their mistake? Nope. The MLB all star game will still be moved, and if the libs have their way the Masters Golf tournament will be moved out as well as a lesson to other battle ground states to not go the direction of Ga. or the libs will work to destroy their economy.
The All star and Masters bring many, many millions of $$ to local businesses and the state economy suffers with sales tax loss, etc.
