My Glock's only get cleaned when I look at them and say "damn that things is filthy". It is a glock it is gonna shoot. AK 47 pushing 8k rounds and it hasn't malfunctioned yet no need to clean it. All my AR's are a little finicky always after I'm done shooting them same with my bolt guns. Everything in the safe except the AK gets cleaned and oiled yearly whether it was clean or hasn't even been out of safe.
The poll needs a "when it's dirty" option. A modern pistol can stand hundreds of rounds in between cleaning without any issues.
In regards to the question though, I'll inspect my carry pistol every couple of weeks and blow any lint out but certainly not after every firing/range session. It doesn't get broken down beyond field stripping but every 400-500ish rounds. My bedside AR gets cleaned every range session though.

My P238 gets a brushing and oily rag rub weekly, carry it every day at work and it gets dry from the leather holster and collects dirt around the hammer. If I do not shoot it during a month I will do a complete field strip and clean . That has happened once cause I try to shoot it at least once a month. Of coarse all that was before she went down with the raft I was attempting to cross Lake Holdercloser on!
I'll clean my competition guns the day before a match and function check them with a few rounds in our berm out back.

When i buy them. they get cleaned before I ever shoot it. Then they get put away until used again. I'm from the when accuracy falls off school. I know the carbon ring will bite me in the azz though. My pistols get cleaned when they are dirty. When I get gunk on my hands, time for a hosing down.
Sorry fellers, military has screwed me up. I gotta clean the gun right after the range. Function check every day I carry which is every day. Not carrying the Kimber yet because the holster snaps the safety off sometimes when I move around. Thinking of going to a regular safety instead of extended.
