Well that worked! Used up some left over ground venison from Sunday's meatloaf. Little less than 1/2 lb. Chopped up some onion and a couple half slices of raw bacon. Mix that with the venison, a little raw oatmeal and an egg. Mix together very well and form a large steak. Wrap with more bacon and bake at 350 for 1 hour 15 minutes. Still just slightly pink inside. I did not season it at all because I wanted to see how it taste. Not bad at all but your favorite seasoning will not hurt it either.

Looks good.

I make mine in the smoker. They are incredible!

I am going to finish them off on the Pitboss later today. My wife won't eat these, so I am going a bacon wrapped pork loin and will drop these on the smoker for the last few hours. It will be my first time doing this too. I assume the crockpot will be fine at around 200ish?
