We haven't paid a dime in interest to the CC companies in the 30 some years we have owned CC's.
I'd like to hear the "strategy".
Well that is good but the strategy is people who dont have your level of restraint. They make is easy to spend with a simple card, that it the main strategy, and then offer bonuses to make it even easier to spend. Many get into debt but as long as your have restraint, then its all good.
They do make money because as your fully aware I am sure, most younger people especially, get that debt rolling and fewer people have restraint.

Absolutely correct for a large percentage of folks that hate pulling that dollar out of their wallet but have no issue handing over a piece of plastic. It's an issue that gets them into a trap. Minimum payments will not ever pay the debt off.
People that recognize that issue are the ones that may not be wealthy, but are debt free or close enough to it to call themselves successful no matter what monetary level they are at.
I can remember back in the day when money was tight being just as happy as we are today because there wasn't the dark cloud of debt over our heads. One just adjusts to their monetary level. Fun doesn't have to be expensive.

What are your interests is the first question I'd ask.
Clays, hunting upland, turkey, big game, migratory, small game etc.
We need your interests before offering suggestions.

Ugh. This is suppose to be for me not my kids or wife so I'm thinking tikka t3 tacax 260 rem. Also looking at a couple henry levers. I'm all over the place. Probably will end up with stuff for the kids or maybe buy my wife another gun. She's pretty cool.

Your not making this easy! LOL!
The .260 is a great caliber and the Tikka has a great reputation.
I'm kinda currently adding to the lever gun recently acquiring a 336 Marlin in 30-30. Just need a set of dies to get some ammo out of it.
If it's for the kids, and your into lever guns, Henry makes some great rifles. .22 LR to .22 Mag will cover all the fun that kids or adults can handle. Larger calibers as well.
I'm pretty sure BP carry's Henry's.
