Our first Whirlpool refrigerator lasted us 20 years bought another one and it lasted 10 years......purchased a Samsung side by side with water and ice in the door a tad over two years ago from Lowe's and so far (knock on wood) no problems whatsoever.

The GE side-by-side I bought in ‘14 has run great since installed.

Moved to a new place 6 months ago and the other half wanted a SS counter depth so we bought a Samsung.

The GE is still here in the garage running like a champ. Never a problem.

If you want anything in the whirlpool or any of our subsidiary lines, drop me a pm. Also, most EVERY frig is made outside the country because of freon regs. Just FYI, Amana, Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, etc. are all made on the same assembly lines by the same folks, one after another. We punch out about 2.3 million units per year in Tulsa/Owasso on FSR's.

I've had no issues with both. Both companies have the discount entered online or through customer service now, all you have to do is give them a phone number and they verify its you through ID, no military ID needed after you register. I haven't had issues with limits on discounts either. I don't know about the online discount part, haven't tried it. You should still be able to get it. A few years ago they were big on retired and active duty, but now it doesn't seem to matter, all vets get it. At least in my experience. If your local one harasses you, the mustang Lowe's seems to be really lax about things if you need to use them to get the ball rolling.

I'll have to check my Home Depot account settings to see how to get the discount online . . . I have it set up for Lowes, but not HD.
