Yes I am kinda anxious too. Like a Star Trek boldly go where you never been before kinda way.

But, HOLY SMOKES this indian root stuff is powerful. Everyone was saying you leave this soaking for a few weeks and some English guy said 6 months. Photo after soaking in oil about an hour and it already looks like a warm Cabernet. I put a dab on my finger and painted a stripe on the inside of the stock and it is already kinda purplely/red and brings out the highlights beautifully. I'm gonna have to be careful with this stuff, it might be dangerous in an inexperienced hand.

Very interesting project! I’m also looking forward to your results.

These are not the firearms you're looking for.

I've also used coffee grounds as a stain on a few older projects.

Back when I was in high school, I was into photography. I took pictures backstage during a preview assembly for a presentation of the play Our Town. One of the pictures was a simple portrait of one of the girls in costume. I made an 11x14 print, then toned it with cold coffee. It came out in a sepia tone and added to the old time look of the photograph. I wish I still had that photo. I don't know if it's lost or only misplaced.

I’ve been waiting a minute for this one..Holosun 507c X2 with Vulcan dot. It’s pretty slick! Probably go shoot with it a little tomorrow.
I put it on my Vp9l and put the other Holosun on my FNP 45.
One thing to note for anyone looking at these...the new one didn’t come with the picatinny base to mount onto a rail. My slightly older 507c with the circle dot did. The new one didn’t come with a set of longer screws either which I needed for putting on the FNP, had to scavenge them out of the older model box. I believe they were the same price, seems like they could’ve included all that with the new model!
I’m happy! Just think it’s a little stingy.
