The ideal? A newer/reinforced K9 with black finish. Willing to consider stainless finish K9 but looking for one in fairly new to like new condition. Paying cash is my preference but usually have a gun or two I'd be willing to consider trading as well.

Don't want to tear up your thread but what is a "reinforced" Kahr K9?
(They seem like stout, all metal pistols.)
A quick internet search didn't help me much.
Thank you.

This is an example of a more recent all steel Kahr. Note the raised area above the trigger at the slide stop. The earlier models were simply flat in this same area. I agree that they are stout little guns. I'm not even sure the change was for any needed "reinforcement", might be just what people call it. May have been just cosmetic. To be honest, that's why I prefer it... just like the way it looks. :) BTW, this pic represents my ideal find. :rubhands:

Did you see the retail price for a new one !!!!!!

Good luck on your quest !!!!!!!!

I've seen more obscure things posted in this sub forum.

I've come across a few K9's in the last several years but wasn't in a position to buy. Now I am. I see this site as just another avenue to try. Lots of things are scarce right now but hey... the fun is in the hunt. :)

Yeah, I've seen the MSRP. Some folks don't blink at $4,000 1911's. Not my bag, but more power to them. The K9 has just been one of those things I've wanted just because I like it.

Good luck on your hunt.
I've always wanted one of their older single stack polymer 40's. Though I am into 10mm and not .40 S&W, most of the components between the rounds are the same so I could load for it very easily. The slim 40 would be a nice stop gap between my Kel-Tec P3AT (.380 ACP) that I carry every day, to work, and other places that I absolutely don't want to show that I am carrying. I carry my Glock 29 when I am less worried about it. The Kahr I mentioned would fit the niche between them.

"The fun is in the hunt.” Excellent quote

I have 3 Kahr’s (P9, PM9 and P45) the triggers pulls are a little different, but years ago I had to have these firearms.

Cylinder and Slide does custom work on Kahr’s; They even had some custom K9’s. Maybe something to look for ?????

Again, Good Luck on your hunt !!!!!!!
