Maybe you could build a wood fired oven and make your crackers while saving on the electric bill! No?

Mayo inside butter outside for cooking mom was doing this at least 40 years ago and its wonderful
I'm on a diet against fatty grilled cheese. My Campbell's soup is microwaved to save on power. I will just have a slice of toast with my hot (microwaved) soup until my crackers get back in stores locally. Back when I was much younger and thinner, I had to use real butter to grill a grilled cheese sandwich in a skillet or on a griddle. I liked tuna melts the best and BLT's with real mayonnaise and cheese also. Great with water-diluted Campbell's tomato soup, no milk used for "cream of tomato" version. I wanted a more acidic soup to cut the richness of the grilled cheese.
