Did you have to take the gun apart to bead blast it?

Oh yes. It might as well be welded together forever if I did not. The card I pulled was for one that looked like it had been bumped into just about anything it got close to. So i thought , .... what the hey? It really does look better in person (then it does in the pic)

Outstanding! Do you do house calls?

Nah, but I don't mind showing you how to do it.

I have access to a blaster--I think it has corncob media in it. Would that be okay to use?
I/ve never used Corncob. Currently I'm hooked on starblast which should be quite a bit more abrasive. I would stray away from crushed glass though. How big is the blaster? Mine is pretty big so, I had enough room to stay a foot away. If you get too close you can get a streaking effect which looks like crap. You might be able to lower the pressure and do a quick sweeping motion.

It's a huge cabinet. I've used the stuff on some silver dinnerware that was in a fire and it's not very abrasive.

I think I'll give it a shot.

Broke out the bead blaster on mine. What do you think?
