With the Pro Hunter pistol, you can put a long barrel and butt stock on it, but it is a simple swap? Are the receivers the same just one is sold as a pistol? I'd like to get the pistol because you can swap to a rifle and back again according to the SCOTUS. Looking at chamberings, I think .30-06 would be cool.

The receivers are indeed the same. It is one screw to swap the buttstock/grip out, and two screws and a pin to swap out the barrels. That's the beauty of the T/C Encore.

There has been some discussion about going from pistol to rifle and back to pistol again. I agree with you that the SCOTUS has ruled definitively on the issue. However, on other forums there has been a heated debate due to John Spencer (Chief, firearms techinical branch), who is obviously anti-gun and enthrawled with his own power, when he stated in a letter that the SCOTUS opinion only applied to the T/C Contender kits SPECIFICALLY under the ruling. I feel he over stepped his authority with this opinion and I will continue to do what the SCOTUS said was okay to do!

I think a 16" .30-06 pack rifle would be AMAZING!

Ok well now I got the scope mounted and bore sighted. Going to the range tomorrow to get it zero'd in. I also changed the bi-pod to a 6"-9". I can't wait to shoot it!

Very nice looking set-up! Get a shotgun barrel, and you have a trifecta!
