I personally have never worried about it at any of them but that is just me.

That works right up to the point you have to explain to the Judge why it was you used your weapon when it was clearly posted. That sets you up nicely (never mind the criminal charge aspect) for an indefensible civil case from the BG's family (I know, it's insane, but highly probable).

I am curious without diluting the thread too much…where do you draw the line? Other convenient stores that post no CCW? Schools? State and County offices?

Drawing the line is not the issue. I keep to myself and dont bother people, but that does not mean that people will not bother me or potentially put me into a position to have to defend myself.

Do you think the bad guy is going to listen to the letter of the law when he comes into the 7-11 to rob them and doesnt want any witnesses?

Sure there are places I wont carry, school and government being them. To the others I do like most others do and dont tell so they wont have to ask.

The drawing of lines is exactly the issue, whether at convenience stores, churches, schools or governmental offices. Your "line" is as you define it with no respect for others self-defined "lines". The 7-11 owner has every right to draw their own line, which is the topic of the OP. By your own admission of crossing that line, you subject yourself and everyone else that carries to a standard that is not supportable nor should it be tolerated.

We have the right to disagree with the posting of no CCW signs; we don't have to spend our money there. I find it hard to believe in the postings of, "what they don't know won't hurt them" that people actually believe there is no harm in abusing someone else's freedom.

That is the attitude of many people here. They believe that their rights outweigh the rights of the property owner. Some people see it like you that if you do not agree with the property/business owner take your business elsewhere. If everyone that disagrees with the 7/11 no guns sign/policy stopped going to 7/11 they would get the picture. If just one or two people call and complain it might not make much of a difference.

Perhaps your right. Again, my only intent was to "vote with my wallet" if, in fact, it was the Oklahoma licensee's position of no CCW. It doesn't look like I'll receive a call-back from their office, which is a shame. I'll leave one last message telling them how I'm voting starting immediately.

It might not do any good, but you never know.

Went to my local 7-11 store at May and Hefner in OKC and noticed, for the first time, a no firearm sticker on one of the doors. Is that 7-11's position at all stores? Please advise!!

When I read this subject line I thought it said there was wasn't a "gun sign" at the 7-11, then I thought, big deal there isn't a "gun sign" at a lot of places. Then I read it again and realized its a "no-gun" sign at 7-11 :)

Anyway, this topic is widely discussed and most say "concealed is concealed" which is true, until you have to use your gun to defend your life, then its not concealed anymore.

You have three choices:
1. Carry anyway and be able to defend your life
2. Don't go in those businesses. Still able to defend your life (just somewhere else)
3. Go in those businesses unarmed and hope you don't have to defend your life.
