Texas district attorney, wife found dead at home

Possibly related, possibly not but this happened VERY recently:

A man was killed breaking into a DAs house in CO. Her LEO husband apparently shot the intruder. So a prison official in CO is dead, an attempt on a CO deputy district attorney, a TX deputy DA is dead, and a DA/wife are dead in TX....something is going on OR this happens more frequently but the media is picking up on it now...

The drug cartels have moved from the border to the heartland. Not saying this is the reason why they were murdered, but just some info.

The Texas DA's have to deal with the illegal immigration problems a lot.

The Aryan Brotherhood of Texas is heavily involved in running Meth & Cocaine. No surprises here folks, it's just an old dog learning new tricks from South of the border.

Totally disagree.

I am willing to bet we'll see a prosecution on both of these homicides.

The rate of prosecution on execution-style murders is very high since the list of suspects tends to be very low and motive is generally known.

This type of cycle has happened throughout our history; Fortunately a large enough percentage of people who enter these professions are not dissuaded from doing their jobs because someone may choose to harm them.

I know they are working hard on this case. Lots of people from multiple orgs all working together day and night. Food being catered in, etc to keep them all fed and going strong.

That's good to know. I'm sure the same effort and expense would be afforded any citizen.

An update on CBS new this morning.

Neighbors report several men stayed in a RV down the street from the home in the days leading up to the murder according to neighbors.

There is a local suspect who was prosecuted by both the DA and the assistant DA who was killed a month ago.

That's convenient.

Someone may get prosecuted and convicted.

Whether or not it will be the right someone(s) prosecuted and convicted is another matter entirely.
