This may have been covered at some point but I still don't know how to search the threads so here goes:

Does anybody have a recommendation for jeweling gun parts? Thanks.

my recommendation is dont do it, it looks dated.

Says the man with ol in his name.

I think it depends on if is being done for looks. I agree it looks dated on the hammer and trigger of a Revolver. I say if you like the look and plan on keeping it, you jewel it up brother. As far as functionality goes I think it is just a different form of polishing a moving component to provide a little less resistance.

As long as you have a good way to hold the parts, and space the jewels evenly and accurately, yes the tool works very well.

Poorly spaced and uneven jewels look terrible - really terrible. Make sure you have a good way to hold your part, space your jewels, and apply even pressure as you jewel.
