Stolen ZT 0301

I had a ZT 0301 I purchased and it was stolen from my mailbox. USPS shows that the package was delivered on a Saturday at 12:33pm and I checked it at 3:00pm that same day. I have been fighting with USPS for over 2 weeks now and they are saying that nothing can be done because the carrier scanned it as "delivered". If anyone happens to stumble across it on here/armslist/craigslist please let me know.

Did you check your neighbors. Our rural carrier is constantly mixing up the mail.

This is a great comment. We've had this happen countless times with regular mail and a couple times with delivered packages. USPS and UPS both have delivered packages to the wrong house, fortunately the neighbors were honest and delivered the packages to us themselves. The UPS guy got into a bit of hot water but he actually showed up the next day to apologize, which I thought was pretty impressive. We've had someone else's packages delivered to our house twice also and we delivered them to the right address ourselves as the other people had done for us. Unfortunately, there are some dishonest people out there who just look at a misdelivered package as a gift to them. Hopefully you don't have neighbors like that (assuming that's what happened). Either way, if I see it I'll let you know.

Yes I have checked with all of the neighbors and even called the pawn shops. I do not get mail on weekends from my normal carrier but was a "substitute" carrier running the route that day, which is why the mail was dropped of on a Saturday.

We have the same address as another neighbor, but he is on a different street. We get stuff mixed up allot, especially from the US Postal. Not so much FedEx or UPS. Might go a couple streets over and find your same numerical address on a different street and check with them.

Never ship in a package marked with anything on the outside that identifies the contents. I only ship knives with names only. Nothing that says knife anywhere. And I never insure. Why tempt anyone.

Had a M1A scope mount scanned delivered.I watched mail man drive off that day no package. Took about aweek to get a tracking number. Copied email took it to post office. Said I did not get it. Clerk said I will talk To carrier . # days later no news went back to post office . Clerk said give me a few about 1/2 hour later he came back with package . I said what happened to it. He said aww old Opie is always loosing stuff . And left me standing there.
