Nothing in particular to look for on Swiss rifles. Most are in good to excellent condition. Expect to pay $300 to $450 in todays market depending on condition. Otherwise its more of a "preference" issue, like either having a walnut or beech stock (walnut ones usually cost more). The only other thing is to decide how important it is to have the troop tag under the butt plate for you.

There was a guy from edmond on armslist that was selling a k31 a few weeks ago. I dont know if he still has it or not, so you might hit him up on the ad. I've bought from him before, he's an honest fellow.

If you dont want to do that, you could just wait until the Wannemacher gun show in tulsa in 3 weeks. There will be plenty there I'm sure

Good job! Post pics, please. Where at the show did you find this K31? I walked around most of it on Saturday, but didn't see any such.

I saw a few dealers with them. One guy had about 4 on his table.

Good eye. I was looking mostly for M1 Garands; saw a 5.4M HRA billed as "all correct" - with a serif-P stamp on the stock. Advised the seller of the discrepancy, and he was rather perturbed.

I would like to find a couple of guys to split a table with to use as a base camp. It would make things so much easier. Oh and if out of state dealers would have a way of calling in the background check instead of asking me to hunt someone down to buy it then sell to me, that would be nice. They should have all that set up ahead of time.
