Got bit by a fiddleback on the right wrist a while back. Got the bite on a Saturday and by Monday the core fell out and healed by the following weekend. Now what I did to cure it is something I hope I never have to do again. Right after I got bit I called an Indian friend that is into folklore medicine. I asked him if there was something I could do and his reply was use a stun gun on it. I thought he was joking but he wasn't. Well I got my wife's stun gun and she was only too happy to try it on me. Put the contacts on my wrist with the bite between them and let it happen. I was sitting on some stairs and my body came about a foot off the stairs as it went ridged from the shock. Hurt real bad but it did neutralized the poison. Two days later the center part fell out and it just looked like any other injury that was healing well. I might add he said that you have to do it within about an hour of the bite to work. Said it would work on snake bites as well. hopefully I don't have to find out.

For the squeamish- No matter where you are, you are never more than 6 feet from a spider. That is a statistical fact.

I hate spiders, they freak me out. I have BWs and BRs all over my place, You just have to deal with it. Glue traps are great. Do some research on where they like to live- typically attics, dark quiet places, etc. and place some glue traps around there. In a month you will have full traps.

Besides the spiders and tarantulas in my collection we have tons of different species of spiders in and around our house. I don't mind them but my wife hates them. She finds them and I come and I take them outside for her. No more problem. I've had a few black widows over the years in glass and they're cool to observe. Like my tarantulas I do not handle any of them. Most keepers don't. Not scared just not totally stoopid.
