Looking at picking up a set of Troy DOA dioptic sights as backup's for the AR. It lives most of it's life with either a 4-30 scope or a Bushnell red dot on it but since it's a carbine, it just doesn't seem right to not have a set of irons sights on it and the magpul MBUS set that I have won't hold zero, the aperture won't stay in place. Of course, they were bought before I realized that anyone would bother counterfeiting a set of sights, so my guess is they're fakes which could be a part of the problem.

What do you guys like as a backup iron sights for the average non-competitor AR shooter? I'd like to be able to take the optics off the rifle and still have a way to aim the thing fairly reliably.
