It was right around $575-600. About $120 for the tanning and $450 for the rug. Those prices include shipping.

Most guys I saw wanted $650-700 for a shoulder mount. That was my original idea until I saw the price. Then figured a rug will be just as cool and more unique.

That rug idea is something I've never heard of. I got my Wild Pig shoulder mount back from the taxidermist about 2 months ago and the cost was $600-$650 I think. I'm going to have to get a Javelina someday. Where does one go about hunting them?

Texas is the easiest and cheapest place to hunt them. Although New Mexico and Arizona both have them too.

I had the hide tanned and then sent it to Jordan's Bear Den in Pennsylvania. I am good buddies with my local taxidermist and he helped me out with getting the hide tanned, he is the one who originally recommended them to me. Jordan's specialize in game rugs, and they are damn good at it.
