I OC not infrequently... but I support a business's/property owner's right to discourage or deny it. I also feel property rights are important. However, I do also disagree with their policy and would encourage them (politely) to change it. If it's an issue, if I'm OCing one day and need to stop for a burger and I know they don't want me there, then I'll go somewhere else, respecting their rights to do business with the people whom they choose to serve. I've sent many an email to companies telling them that I won't patronize their business if they require that I am disarmed to do so, and some have responded and changed their policies. If I remember right, OnCue and Chelino's both changed their "no CC" policy based on polite and respectful feedback from their customer base?

It is my understanding they honor CC so if you like their food and happen to be OC why not simply put your shirt out over the OC and hey you are now CC. The vendor wins, you win with having the burger you like, and all is well :yelclap:

No, it doesn't make sense... when I OC, it is a Glock 22 or a Commander-length 1911, in a retention holster. Simply pulling your shirt over it doesn't obscure anything. It still sticks out at the bottom by at least a couple of inches, and it still sticks out 2-3 inches from my waist. It not only looks dorky as all f***, it's obviously someone trying to conceal a weapon and doing a sh***y of it, which is likely to make people MORE nervous (IMO) than simply OCing and not making a big deal of it. I'd rather go somewhere else than patronize an establishment that doesn't want me there and look like a total dips*** while doing it (more than I usually do).

Honestly people are oblivious to guns , you really have to stick it in their face before they notice. Lol
i know from experience , and i let him voice his opinion then bought him and his lady lunch. She was cooler with it and more impressed with how I handled the situation than how he did lol.

carry on stay safe

Our constitutional rights are not a license to do what u want, when and where you want. A man who yells fire at a movie theater causing injuries to fleeing patrons will not be saved from prosecution by screaming First Amendment. Before you can challenge an illegal search pursuant to the Fourth Amendment, you must establish standing. Standing requires a possessory (property) interest or a privacy interest. Our own 21 O.S. section 1289.25, deadly force against intruders, is based in property rights. I am a rabid defender of the 2nd amendment but it cannot be used to restrict other important rights. Second Amendment extremist make the rest of us look bad. If a business posts no open carry it is the owners right. He/She is trying to make a living. Does not mean they are anti-firearm. Would some of you demand the right to carry a gun into a penal institution or the local FBI office. I would suspicion so. If protesters came to my law office to protest me representing criminal defendant's, their asses would be gone, peacefully or otherwise, First Amendment be damned. It's my ****ing office. So why don't some of you Second Amendment radicals settle down before you **** it up for the rest of us.

So is someone who's humming in a theater to be banned?
I equate yelling fire to pulling the trigger.
carrying open or concealed i equate to a non issue, however talking in a theater needs addressed.

If im in a theater and the premonitions people decide that to have someone run in blasting away is a good idea .
i would be exonerated.

Most of us dont care if you carry ,open or concealed, I'm neither offended put out put apon or denied my rights. Except the right to be oblivious to my environment, and it seems like it does do that to "those".
what im tired of is catering to "those" few who are.

Yesterday i saw a man and is young son exiting convenience store. He was open carrying. As i pulled out i pulled up made light conversation about the trailer he was pulling. Never once mentioned the gun nor stared nor "voiced my opinion".
I made a point to interact with that family in a positive non issue way.

if im open carrying doesn't mean im open to your opinion, i wont always buy you lunch, however i am open to positive interaction. I'll stand there talk about all this needed rain or lovely warm weather, or even grandma's roses.

Thanks for your time
stay safe carry on

I don't understand your post. Are you railing against open carry, or the whiners complaining about a business owner's right to ban it in their establishment?

The whiners. Even though, for tactical reasons, I don't open carry, I do not have a problem with those who do.
