Used to have a pontoon boat. The pontoons would expand and contract with the cold and heat making a pretty loud boom. They had some kind of foam they could inject in there to stop that and make the pontoons unsinkable if one ran into a rock and ripped a hole in one. We never got it done, and sold the boat, but I think they put that in all pontoons now.
