I have a Remington 870 Express Magnum. It takes a 3 inch shell and under. It doesn't say that it is a rifled barrel but it also doesn't say that it isn't rifled. Does anyone know if I can fire slugs from it?

Sure. Rifled or not you can shoot slugs in it. Just pick the right slug.

General rule is traditional rifled slugs in a smooth bore and sabot slugs in a rifled barrel.

If you have screw in choke tubes, leave it in. Some folks say you shouldn't use tighter than Modified but YMMV.

Forester type slugs can be shot through any choke. Manufacturers decided a long time ago that the liability of making a slug not capable of going through any choke would bankrupt the company with legal issues related to ruptured barrels.

Slugs with Sabots are the same, but they don't shoot accurately without some rifling. The rifled chokes work OK, but the full length rifled barrels work the best.
