I have a Kimber double stack polymer 45. It was made by Bul for Kimber. Till Kimber came out with their own take on it. I carried it some during my time in law enforcement. Finding holsters for it was difficult. Haugen Handgun Leather made off duty carry for me to fit it. It would work in a Safariland made for the Glock 34/35 for duty. It shot good after a trip to Teddy at Actions by T. But, I switched to a Glock 35. To finish by tour.

I actually fondled the Ruger American today in 9mm and .45 at my LGS. WOW. I'm not usually impressed, but I kinda was. I've always liked Ruger, but I wouldn't want my daughter to carry one, ya know? Anyway, they have done to the double stack hi-cap market what they did to the AR and 1911 market. IMHO, their 1911 and AR's has all of the features of the (insert here- Colt, S&W, Kimber, etc) but for less money.

(I am not being compensated for this post by Ruger and the only animals that were harmed deserved it.)

I can't wait till they pull their typical Apple marketing strategy, and release a model 1 year later that fixes some obvious problem, and then act like it's just an "updated" model like they did the LC9s.
