I've had trouble on several trips with several ConocoPhillips stations. The last time I tried would have been in August 2015 on a trip from here to Bristol, TN. Most stations gave me no trouble, but several ConocoPhillips stations that appeared to be small chains did, and when we returned the stations for a local small chain (Fast Lane) also did. I don't recall the exact message I was getting, but it basically said that the pricing was provided directly from a partner and wasn't editable. I tweeted about that and a UI issue, and the response for the gas station issue was pretty much "sorry to hear" while the UI issue gave instructions and promised a later fix (which was delivered). My issue with the pricing was it would say that it was updated by their partner X hours/minutes ago (usually around an hour or less), and the price in Waze was significantly below the other stations in the immediate vicinity while the price at the pump was at or above the other stations. Since that experience, I don't trust the gas prices presented in Waze.
Interesting. I rarely buy at ConocoPhillips, so not much experience there. I don't put much faith in those reports anyway. I've noticed a trend in the last year or so where many gas stations advertise one price on the big sign, and then it's different on the pump. Some of those are contingent upon certain purchases (in tiny words on the sign, invisible from the road), others are just blatantly wrong.

If your a trucker or drive a car for hire with a larger company, its very possible that you will not pay the price on the marquee.
Your company will have negotiated a lower price with the company if its a dedicated fuel stop. Pilot and Loves are two that come to mind.

Had Waze for a little while, just uninstalled it yesterday. Always felt it was a bit too gimmicky, but its inability to import marked locations along with its insistence on jumping to the closest "place" instead of specific lat/long broke it for me.

When I get in my vehicle and need directions, I put them in google maps and never pick up my phone until arriving at the destination. I feed it to the stereo via Bluetooth. Listen to the blues and get directions.
The "need" for instant gratification is ridiculous. Before Waze, did you hold a map in front of you all the way to your destination? Your passenger did, or you pulled over to see where you needed to turn.
I don't text on the road, nor touch my phone. If I need to see a pothole, I make sure I'm far enough behind the vehicle in front to do a visual observation before hitting it. Waze just gives a general location.
Don't speed if your don't want a ticket.
If grandpa died, there is not one thing I can do about it by reading/typing texts while driving in traffic. I'll need to stop and get gas at some time, or my passenger can read the text.
I'm betting there is a large part of the population that can't read a map, nor has even seen one. I'm a technology lover keeping up with the latest, but also a person that says some of the technology has a place and time to be used.
Driving is not one of them. Too many innocent people die because of it. If the texter was the only person hurt/killed/paralyzed, I'd say go for it, but its the innocent that end up paying the price for the instant gratification of others.

Except a paper map won't alert you of an accident that just occurred 15 miles ahead on your route, causing severe traffic jams, and change your route in order to let you reach your destination on time rather than being stuck behind 170 Lookie-Lous.
