Sorry but I'll be the one to decide who is responsible for my safety, not some preacher and his minions

I got the impression they were facilitating, nothing more. I am sure if you still wanted to carry concealed, they wouldn't likely discourage it. That wasn't the impression I got at all, that they designated the only people who could carry.

It's not the preacher that decides (the designated carriers) it's the leadership picking the most qualified. The church has no issue with concealed carry. It doesn't stop anyone from concealed carry.

If you attend church where I think you do, it's not a school on the weekends and evenings, as it's being used for church purposes in those very same classrooms.

I go to Emmanuel in Enid, and yes you're right on all that!

Good to know I haven't been breaking the law all this time. I'm sure somebody's seen me carrying, when I go to get the kids in and out of carseats in the parking lot sometimes my shirt comes up over my G43!

The way I look at it is that I don't tell anyone if I'm carrying. Should it be needed, I will respond accordingly, responsibly and take the heat but I feel if there is a bad guy and he is nailed that I won't be called out. I wouldn't carry in a school or break the law knowingly but I remember the kid that walked into Black church in ?SC and murdered the Pastor and several of the congregation.

In my church I know if at least 6 people that carry. I am one of them. I wear my shoulder rig in there and take my suit jacket off and no one says a word. I feel for the poor soul that walks into my church building looking for trouble.
