Not going to shoot the ones that respect private property. Going to shoot everyone that don't

But like I said, there may be a responsible drone shooter like yourself. But for every responsible one, there is 25 ****ing retards with no regard for public safety. It's a law that will cause more gun laws

I have a drone on the way. And I agree that you have a right to privacy around your home but someone who is enjoying a hobby at a park or in the middle of nowhere is not a threat in any way. If you are having problems with them being flown around call the cops and let them handle it. If the person flying hasn't done things correctly they can get a pretty hefty fine as well as jail time. If you shoot it down even with a state law saying you can guess who gets the fine and jail time? Not to mention that most cities can regulate the discharge of a firearm within city limits through noise ordinances which will likely stick when a threat to life isn't present. And as has been mentioned already most of the people are just having some fun and will do their best to follow the laws, if they are in violation let the people who are paid to handle it deal with it. There are thousands of drones out there and people are getting riled up over a couple horror stories and a perceived violation that could happen. When you start jumping on the shoot them all bandwagon you are treating it just like so many liberals want to treat the 2nd amendment.

And on this one the federal law will be the one that rules the road. Anything that flies falls under FAA jurisdiction, doesn't matter if it's 20 feet off the ground or 200 feet.

I own one too. Not a huge expensive one but I have fun with it and don't F with anyone's privacy. I live in a small town. You fly over my house F...ing around, I'll shoot your little toy in two. I doubt any charges will be made and the chip will be gone.
How can people swear to defend their rights, but when it comes to F..ing toys...THEIR TOYS...they want the government to come in and help them F with other people.
Less people using them the way you say they do and more using them as legal peeping toms.

That is where you couldn't be more wrong. You'll face federal charges and all flight data is stored on the control, not the aircraft. I understand what you're saying about privacy but you might wanna wanna do some reading unless you're okay with having your rectum resized in prison.

If I remember right, this attempt at a new law came about because PETA or some anti hunting group used a drone to film and harass some hunters in the field and was subsequently shot down with a shotgun. Can't remember if was a state or federal legislator that was having a team building day or what.

I think there should be better ways to take down drones over your property. Drones flying over your property should have to be X feet from the ground.

Maybe a BB gun or something, i would never fire a shotgun in my suburban neighborhood. I might hit the drone. I might hit my neighbors kids, too.

Is there a law on reasonable expectation of privacy at your home? I know we all expect it, but is there something actually on the books about it?

I don't see how making it legal to destroy private property in retaliation to something a good thing. Unless I'm able to take a baseball bat to the windshields of people that cut me off.
