I knew the front came in and wind was blowing hard opening day. that case usually sticks the deer into the thick woods and not on top of the hill..I find them down in the thickets.
I have broken pieces of stickers and thorns in my hands and legs to prove they like the thick stuff.
I pulled one thorn out of my leg this morning..or it actually worked out on it's own.
But sometimes they do not make the rounds where you are at no mater if it is thick stuff or open .
Kind of luck of the draw.
