They aren’t going to have to give up picks to get rid of Chris Paul. They’ll likely get expiring contracts out of the deal and maybe another pick/young player. I believe that the 15 first round picks they have included their own. They are a small market team and the only way to build snd have a shot is too get assets and build through the draft. There isn’t a lot of big name free agents that want to play in a place like Oklahoma. Just not the right state for free agency signing. Presti has done a great job overall and OKC would have a hell of a time getting another good GM to come here. I don’t always like or agree with the decisions, but that doesn’t necessarily make them wrong.

The 15 picks I saw on the chart were all everyone else's - NONE were OKC's.

Well... we got Chris Paul, right? Great shooter, great ball handler, but can't stay healthy and in a game to save his life. And we're gonna pay him $24M a year. In his 15th year. And the last 3 years he's played less and less and the least of any year except his big injury year.

Even more than that. Paul has three more seasons remaining on his deal:

--2019-20 = $38,506,482
--2020-21 = $41,358,814
--2021-22 = $44,211,146 (player option that will assuredly be exercised)

You're right, sorry, I looked at the $24M he made last year, forgetting he was on a balloon contract. Someone really screwed the pooch signing him to that deal. I pray to God we can offload him, I don't think he's worth half that, but it may be very tough getting another team to pick up that bill.
