When did they make 9 mm legal? I ain't been keeping up

I wondered the same thing. It's covered under 'regulation changes' on Page 4 of the regs ...

• Big Game Season Firearms: Rifle and handguns no longer have cartridge length or caliber restrictions as long as they are able to fire at least a 55 grain weight bullet. Shotguns are no longer restricted to 20 gauge or larger. See page 13.

ETA: That is looking online. I still don't find it in the 'hardcover' regs.

This reg change came about after we discussed, on this forum, some pistol cartridges being legal in a pistol but not the carbines.

I submitted the change request for the carbines and they decided to simplify it even more and just go with centerfire and 55 grains.
