Guess who the insurance company's are going to come to for making up that deficit in their bottom line? It's going to be you and I that had zero to do with the riots and looting.

It should be since the insurance actuaries have to take that into account. In other words, people living in California aren't subisidizing our insurance rates which are higher due to tornadoes and hail, and vice versa.

One of my friends who lives out in Vegas has a nice property on the west side of the city and his annual home insurance cost is something like $700. I nearly crapped myself when he told me because all my life I've been used to the $1500+ we pay here because of our wild weather.

In theory yes, but these companies are already changing deductible structures and playing with coverages due to these riots. It will effect everyone in a small business to a degree, in some ways it may not be so obvious.

I wish mine was only $1500, my first company was $4500. New company is half that and now covers the barn. Also I have a metal roof.
