All the folks with big markups on 9mm and 223 ammo think they've got it going on.
They are AMATEUR neckbeards compared to this.

The rapper Biggie Smalls (also known as Notorious B.I.G.) sat for a photo shoot in New York City on March 6, 1997.
One of the props worn by Biggie Smalls in the shoot was a plastic crown with plastic jewels, which had been purchased at a party store for $6.00.
It was the rapper's last photo session; three days later he was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His murder has never been solved.
Fast forward to 2020. The crown was featured at a sale of hip-hop memorabilia by Sotheby's auction house. The gavel fell and the plastic crown sold for....$594,750.00.

Fine line between Neckbearding and supply/demand in my humble opinion that nobody asked for. If it is a need based item and it’s being hoarded or purposefully bought to flip, that imo is neckbearding or just simply being a bad person. If it is a want based item, see this crown and 9mm/.223 for examples, it is fair game and part of a healthy economy. It’s a free market, if you don’t like their price, don’t buy it!

I figure it's neckbearding all right.
First, there's a limited supply of those crowns because the late Mr. Smalls, a.k.a. the dearly departed, can't wear any more of them.
Second, some group of people felt they just HAD to have it, and paid what I would consider to be way too much money for it.
Maybe my thinking is flawed but it seems pretty much like neckbearding 9mm or 223 ammo on Gunbroker or another auction site to me.

We have one of those crowns! Think we can get that much for it?
Are the factory's charging inflated prices for the ammo or is it the the distributors and marketers?
