That's a laminated stock. If it was stained you might get it a little lighter with a long soak (24hrs) in citristrip but don't expect a whole lot of change.

Nice! I mix 1/3 satin urethane, turpentine, boiled linseed oil. I hand rub it for an hr with breaks, let it set over night in 72 degrees or warmer . Lightly sand with 800 grit and clothe same thing over Again 3-5 times. This is old school 70s stuff my dad taught me. Finish it off with 1200 grit, followed by floor wax an a good buffing. It’ll last a lifetime. oh and mix in stain to your liking if that’s what you want to the 1/3 ratio
