Oh the address was 100% correct. I don't have the packaging anymore though.

That’s too bad. It went to SE station twice and was scanned insufficient address. I’d love to have seen the label.

Any chance you’re in a fairly new house/neighborhood? In 32 years I’ve never seen scans like that multiple times in different zip codes.

Nope. Paseo district. House was built in 1953.

Just to follow up on this one. Whoever printed the Priority label, probably the window clerk or person mailing it at an APC machine, entered the zip of 73109 instead of 73103. Machines do a really good job of sorting, to the zip code on the label. It went to SE Station where the clerk should have lined out the barcode when they scanned it. They didn’t so it went back to SE station again. Finally it got sent to the right delivery unit and was delivered. At least 1 USPS screw up, probably 2. By the way, the person who addressed it has chicken scratch handwriting as bad as I do. Slapped a handwritten label over an old mailing label. It was legible, barely. The good news is it finally got delivered. I’d recommend a typed label large enough to cover the middle area of the package. If reusing a box or envelope be sure any old barcodes or labels are completely removed. If you mail it at the window verify they put the correct zip on the label. People make mistakes, some more than others.

Thought I'd mention one that's actually moving fast.

It left LAKELAND, FL yesterday morning, and is out on the vehicle for delivery today (Kingston, OK).

It amazes me that's even possible.

On Saturday, late morning, I mailed a box to BFE (Ponca City). Arrived Monday. Alas, no great feat, but was better than I expected.

Hehe I ordered stuff from Amazon. Shipped from Amazon Distribution Center in OKC on the September 29. Went to Kansas, back to OKC, on to Iowa!

Had a conversation with the postmaster in Duncan this morning. He researched it and what he THINKS happened is that Amazon messed up their own barcode, put it on the truck to USPS Kingman Kansas instead of USPS OKC. It got to USPS Kingman Kansas and their scanner marked it as needing to be forwarded. Kingman put it on the truck to USPS Wichita Kansas. Wichita puts it on truck to USPS OKC. OKC scanner misreads the barcode and thinks it needs forwarding to Iowa. It gets put on the truck to Iowa. Now Its been "Forwarded" again. It SHOULD be on its way back to OKC, then onto Duncan but who knows. A lot of the time, its wrinkled or bad barcodes and bad packaging that misdirects stuff

Party foul! Praise is not allowed, only kvetching.

98% on time or early but it’s always the errors that get the attention. My eBay package due Friday got here yesterday. My coffee from Guthrie took the usual 1 day. Dang But last Friday the sub put 2 packages in the wrong box. Dang USPS! Fire em all.
