People seem scared. Anyone else notice?

I agree but I think the riots have little to do with politics anymore. Sure some of the BLM marches do but the nightly riots are just young punks raising hell because they know they will not face jail time. Probably not even a fine. They will continue until the liberals crack down on them.

People who live on Facebook should pack up there younguns, and take what they can carry.
They should pack their Ma and pack their Pa. Try to cross the border and immigrate to the real world.
Folks ould be a lot less skeered.

There's only two malls left in the metro here. The one near me has outside entrances for the Carharrt store, Lenscrafters, and the jewelry store I patronize. That's all I need. Dicks closed up their store in a strip mall and moved to the big mall probably because rental space is a steal there. I hope they're reaping the rewards of almost no traffic.

I learned A LOT about generators during an ice storm about 10 years ago.
Was without power for 9 days except for my generator.

Tip 1. I had my house wired by an electrician friend so that I can run a power cord from the generator to a single plug on the outside of my house. I switch two breakers in the house. One takes my house off line and the other allows the genny to supply the power to the house. Only thing I can't run is the AC and maybe the dryer. I have an 8500 generator.

Tip 2. Strange as it seems, our Rowenta Auto On Iron was tripping the circuits even though it wasn't on. Apparently it has a "power up" setting that draws power when it is first "turned on", so once the power was off, the iron went into "power up mode" and it draws something like 2000 watts.

Tip 3. Get an idea of how long your generator runs on one tank of gas. I thought I was prepared with 10 gallons of gas. That was enough for one day and most of the gas pumps were down due to lack of power. Then we ran out of regular gas. Having several 5 gallon gas cans to fill up when you need them sure beat only having 4 2.5gallon cans.

Tip 4. Have a siphon to transfer the gas from the can to the generator. At 3AM in the morning, at 0 degrees in a wind when nature suddenly is calling you (urgently), you don't want to be holding a 30 pound weight up in the air!!!

Can't say that I'm scared -- however, I can say that I'm even more aware now than in the past. And, incrementally more prepared.

I had 7 days without power several years ago. Yep, be sure your carburetor is not gummed up also. Mine has a drain on the float bowl cover. I let the fuel system "air out" a few days after running it.

With all that is going on, I am glad I live way out in the country, sure would hate to live in any big city right now.

I guess it depends on what you mean by big city, but as far as I can tell, ain't jack happening in Tulsa.
