No problem. most folks look at training like I can hit a target and that's all they think they need. until you go somewhere like Gunsite you don't even know what you don't know. This class like I say we had members of Ogden Utah SWAT. Aurora Colorado SWAT and New Jersey State Police along with executives from a large theme park in Florida. Heck just getting to shoot moving targets was new experience for me. Fun too how much these folks pulled for my wife on the drills. Great support. Counting our tuition, ammo, car rental, lodging and meals it was right at 6000.00 but I'm saving for the next class.

Heck, Meadhall gets plenty of world class instructors right into this state and people still won't go to class (on top of there being a couple of great Okie instructors). I don't get folks that won't train. Or the full on Dunning-Kruger epidemic of people that think they don't need training.

All of us are our own first responders and if you've elected to protect your family, then you should probably get the skills to do it properly. Props to you for doing it and also sharing it to encourage others.

+ 1000 on those comments.
Kudus to Defcon shooters taking the training. You are doing what 99.99% of shooters need to do.
Going to the range and popping off a few rounds isn't training,
Grandpas advice isn't typically training.
Your taking the right path and I admire you for it. If some of the folks on this forum ever had to go through a shoot house, they might have a different opinion about their "level of training".
