Looking for a quality sight pusher to install some sights on my P226 bit also for future use on other stuff.
Any you guys highly suggest or say to avoid?

MGW is the leader in high quality sight pushers.
The Range Master version is a bit newer on the market and it’s limitation seems to be not working on the front sight of some long slide guns like a 5” M&P. The Sight Pro will work for everything I have tried it on. You just have to add the slide show to the particular gun you are working on.

The downside is the cost. It is an expensive investment.

At a recent Armorer’s course, the overwhelming majority mentioned it as the sight pusher of choice.

MGW made a Sig specific one that us discontinued and seems to be highly sought after.

I will check into their universal one.
Paying for install a few times will cover the tool so I may just bite the bullet.

I believe they discontinued everything gun specific except the 2 Glock versions. I’ve seen various models show up for on various gun forums and eBay. Usually in the $100-150 range for a used one. You want a #307.

You can buy the Range Master new for about $180. Add the Sig shoe for $14.
The range master will work for almost all applications. So for $200 you are set. Then for ~$15-20 you can add another shoe for any other gun you might want to put sights on.

The sight pro model is a bit bigger and is notched to allow for a few odd guns. It is also about $100 higher. The front sight on the M&P 5” is the only one I personally found that won’t work with the Range Master. The M&P specific tool won’t work on it either.

Reminds me, I need to sell my M&P specific ones for the Shield and Full-Size.

MGW or the Sig Arms tool. Usually the Sig Arms sight tools can be found on eBay for half the cost of the Sig model MGW pushers. I have three pistols with sights that were installed using a Sig Arms tool and they work great.

I bought my Sig Tool at least 30 years ago (for my P225 and P220). Works great even on very, very tight sights.

Not marked; Guessing its made by MGW (Maryland Gun Works).

Pretty sure it cost little over a $100 back then. I had a credit from a gun dealer.

This sight only works on the classic “P” series. It doesn’t work on my P224 or P229C ( the slides are wider) or the “P” Pro series.

Good luck on your search !!!!!!!!
