Beavers typical mature between 40 to 60 pounds. Back in the late 70's my cousin and I ran a trap line and 2 we caught in a isolated slew of the river weighed 92# and 98#. We thought we had a record but there have been beavers exceeding 100# although not common.

Years ago a fella caught a beaver in that swamp on the southwest side of Glenpool went nearly a hundred pounds.

I always wondered if Wynona ever heard what happened or if she’s still looking....
