This^^^. I just go a little slow. Never had one pop.

The only time I've had primers explode was using my Lee Auto Bench Prime. Something went wrong and I had about 5-10 explode and the rest scatter across the whole garage. Needless to say, I'm not a big fan of that contraption. I've popped hundred and hundreds of rounds the same was as Mouthpiece in a press with a universal decap and never had any issues when popping them out, or when reusing them.

I pulled down 70 rounds of 7.65 Argentine this morning using the kinetic hammer, powder everywhere.
Pulling the bullets and primers out and trashing the brass.

Heck, I might pull them for you if I can keep the powder and primers!! Just kidding. Maybe.

lol - I bought a bazillion surplus 8x57 about 15 years ago. Pulled all the bullets to reload with non-corrosive components. Gets old fast. I think I gave about 5-6 cents a round for that stuff.

I picked up the RCBS puller and it seems to work great. When I got it there was a $50 mail in rebate, so between the purchase of that and all the collets I needed I got it about half price. Seems to work fairly well --- much quieter and wife pleasing than the kinetic route. When used in my Lee presses where it's got the quick change bushings, then it's not quite as solid as if I schlep it into a dedicated press without the quick change though.
Have you used the RCBS on lead bullets? Thanks.

To date I only had the occasion to try that once on a 500S&W and it didn't go super. Problem in that case was that I didn't have the thing configured right though. I haven't tried on anything lead since then....

Yep. This is how I do it too. Just be smart about it. A good idea would be to wear glasses and maybe some ear protection. Types little suckers are LOUD. In my old shop I had a sheet steel topped propane heater in the winter. If someone was out there I’d set a primer on top and a couple seconds later ‘bang!
Funny to see how jumpy some people get. There are quite a few dimples in the top from those little loose primers
