Lol, ok... but where do I find it on the phone?

And I now know what you guys mean when ya say fat fingers. That virtual keyboard is sized for a 3 year old.

I'm not real sure of your setup, but when I set up the personal hotspot on my AT&T Iphone, I was required to generate my own password so it could be used by what ever device like a computer, tv, or whatever I was trying to connect to.
Is there some fine print under the popup that is asking you to create an account if you don't already have one?
It sounds like its working, so I'm not sure why they are asking for a password.

If you're talking about the key to connect to the hotspot, on my iPhone when you enable the hotspot in Settings it will give you a password. Not familiar with android but it should be in Settings for the hotspot somewhere.

From what I see googling the question and much looking around others have had the same problem. The key is the network key from the security code encryption you selected like WPA2. The key is in the root directory of your phone and not accessible unless you find and download a program that lets you get into the root directory which may or may not void your warranty.

My AT&T key or PIN is located on my router. The phone is different.
The hot spot works though doesn't it?

One other thing... compared to dialup, this is lighning fast.

When downloading files on dialup, the speed usually ran 3-4 kbps. The best I recall was around 5.6 kbps or so, and that was only once.

The Hotspot connects at 72 kbps.
