I live in Collinsville, love the small town feel but still close to everything you need in owasso. As far as the fire dept, about 5 years ago a house burnt to the ground because the city and rural depts. couldn’t figure out whose call it should have been.
Medlocks gun shop is now a joke, had a gun transferred there and he was trying to screw me over, when I pushed back a little he got a little pissy. I’ll never do business with them again.

If you want the Best BBQ in the area you head to Sperry for World Champion BBQ at Buffalo's. Macs is good stuff and has lots of side choices but watch out for reheats when they open on Tuesday you might be eating left overs from Saturday. Reheats are a no go in my book.

I grew up there, moved away and came back about 15 years ago. It's a nice town, yes the FD burned around 10 (I think) years ago, along with the PD (they may have already moved out...I'm getting old) and City Hall. They managed to save the building (over 100 years old) and converted it entirely to City Hall. The FD is a new building next door and PD went to the old Post Office.

It's growing a lot, at least residentially. It's easy to get to Tulsa on either 169 or 75, but as was said, you can do most of your business in Owasso.
