Overwhelming opinion in the medical community???
News to me, as a member of that community. Figured I would have heard something like that by now...

I would ask your personal MD for vaccine advice before making a decision.

I'm on thin ice here and mean no offense. I respect nurses and other general medical personnel but their depth of knowledge is limited. I'm sticking to listening to M.D.'s and D.O.'s (general practice physicians) and those with even higher levels of medical knowledge and relevant expertise.

If I die of the roni, that’s on me, but I won’t be taking a vaccine nobody is willing to accept responsibility for its after affects.
From what I’ve read, the govt (not surprising) nor the vaccine manufacturers will be held accountable if something goes wrong. I’m going to take my chances of being healthy (as far as I know) and having O+ blood.:anyone:

Not to change the subject, but I really want an antibody test to see if I actually had it or not. I've heard if you donate blood, they automatically test for antibodies and will give you the results, anyone know if that's true or maybe I misunderstood?

You can get the antibody test without donating blood. Unknown if they automatically test for it when donating, but it makes sense. Also, if you had covid, the antibody protection is time-limited. So, you could have had covid & still show negative for the antibody test

15-20 years ago I got flu shots each year. Each time the next week I got sick with something. The last time took me 3 months to get rid of the cough.
I said thats enough . Haven't had one since and have not had the flu.
While the possibility of catching this is scary. We will all get it eventually.
It's not gonna magically go away.

Yeah, that's why I want to get it asap after getting out of isolation. I don't plan to change behavior anyway, but it would be a little comforting to know I might have some degree of immunity, and that I didn't go through this whole period for nothing.

The flu story is a very common coincidence, but you can’t get the flu from the flu shot. It’s impossible for the shot to transmit the flu. If someone gets sick with a virus after getting the shot, they would have gotten sick anyway. I would trust my doc for vaccine advice.
