Jimmy Houston Outdoors And Don Wallace. Wallace Wildlife Show

Who said, "Watch Jim wrestle this alligator."? and what TV show was it?

Marlin Perkins - Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom

Yea Jim was always running away from something as Marlin narrated.
Wasn't Jim on Johnny Carson a lot with animals from the zoo?

Here Is an easy one if you are old enough.....do you know what a "party line" is? Did you have one?
When I was a kid (Denison, TX), Mom & Dad had an 8-party line. Our phone number was HO-5 2008. HO was short for "Homestead," so when someone on TV/radio gave out a number, they'd say "Homestead 5" and then whatever 4 digits followed.

I married Sweetie in '75, and we moved into this house (southern Marshall county) in late '76. We had a 4-party line here for a while.

The company in both cases was "Southwestern Bell," back before the "Ma Bell" break-up.

We had a party line until the mid 70’s. My grandma was on the last party line in Haskell Co well up into the 80’s.

And here is one for ya... Our community church only had electricity and outhouses until the late 70’s when the men of the community built our new church. Us kids hauled rocks from my dad’s place and piled them around the building as it went up so they could rock it when it was complete.
