For anyone curious ---- this is an older article but does a good job of describing the NSA data center. I remember when it first was under construction with an estimated capacity of a zettabybe, and in this 10 year old article it had already jumped over a yotabyte. Which is super scary. Also of note, which the article covers, is that a primary mission of the center is breaking encrypted comms and systems. Super scary stuff in my book. Because it's not that "they" don't know the data --- it's about how well they can use the data that they have and drill through all of it. And those systems have come a long long way in recent years.

Again, just posting this sad day in my life. It will be a day that I will never forget. I was transporting all of my guns from our house in Yukon to our lake house on Grand Lake and BAM! Boating accident, lost everything. :cry11:

Data is big business and data science has become the new frontier in the last 5-10 years. I worked with a couple that are just brilliant. As for whats out there. Fellahs google and all other major search engines have copies of everything. Check out www.waybackmachine.com its just a simple archive site.

Here is a quick search on google just telling google look at this site and search this one word. It showed 1750 results right off the bat. Also ever notice when you start typing but don't respond its still there when you come back to thread or pickup on another device? Yup when you type it they have access to see it. They are caching it on the servers.

I would never use the boat argument. Have boat registration?
Sorry. Rented the boat. Paid cash. Lost the rental receipt when the boat capsized. I was able to get it back to the rental place. However, due to an accident immediately after I left the rental place, I had to have total facial reconstruction surgery so I look nothing like I did then.
Did you report the loss?
The shock of the cold water gave me temporary amnesia. Probably why I had the accident that prompted the facial reconstruction. I didn't remember anything from before waking up in the hospital until recently. I was even listed as a John Doe in the hospital records so I can't verify my story that way.
And I would wonder at the gross negligence.
One would wonder, wouldn't one?
