It's a decent little handgun IMO, but I highly recommend disassembly and a thorough cleaning before use. That should apply to any new gun though, as machine shavings can wind up in the oddest places (and especially in the firing pin tunnel).

They're similar in size to a Kel-Tec PF-9, but the back strap is wider and padded a bit, so it kicks a lot less.

If you have fat fingers, make sure you have enough clearance for the trigger to reset properly.

That may be why they are being so heavily advertised now. I have had a few conversations with new shooters in recent months and cost always comes into the conversations. I didn’t want to steer someone away from them if they were good to go, but the opposite is certainly true also. I have never even had an opportunity to hold one, but the early Kel-Tec models didn’t seem like worthy purchases.

There was an older gentleman behind the counter at Atwoods, and he said the one he bought had fired over 400 rounds without any problems. That's more than I have.

The problem with any cheap gun is QC. You might get one that runs perfect, and the next one might be a nightmare.

I had a cousin that went to the gunstore without seeking advice. Gunstore sold her an SCCY. She came over to shoot it and she didn’t have the grip strength to rack the slide. It went bye bye and I’m not sure what she ended up buying but she said she can operate it. Maybe it was a fluke but that particular SCCY was tough for even I to rack. It was small so not much to get ahold of and it was very stiff. I believe there are better options.
