Good morning. Headed up to Hoboken Coffee shop in Guthrie. Best coffee shop on planet earth. Check out their story on the web if interested. Great example of what a young couple can still accomplish in life with some effort and a plan.

Good morning, All. Wife and I have "most" of the day off today. Our son is buying a house so he can move out of his apartment, and we've been helping him with preparation work. We've helped with taping and painting, replacing light fixtures, and a number of other things for the last 13 days straight. He is still working and isn't able to be here most of the day, so we are here to do work and oversee others doing their work. You know, folks like plumbers and other tradesmen.

Some of this work has been taxing on the old folks that we are, especially so the painting. Every interior wall was in need of paint. So, we are taking off most of today until he gets off work this evening, and then we'll go up and put in a few hours.

Both. Balance.

Yeppers...

...I agree. The company that we work for during the Summer just sent out a message to those of us on drive teams to "keep in touch" with the company. They have have some "projects" that need to be done. Generally for the drive teams, that means some travel and seeing new country.

Speaking of which, back in late 2020, the wife and I were sent to Tennessee to do some "surveying" for the company so that our data could be included in their bid to the state of Tennessee. That gave us the opportunity to take in a drive on part of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Here's a photo from the Parkway.

Hate to rain on the parade of great photos on the thread recently but just received word of a really good friend losing his battle with lymphoma this afternoon after multiple rounds of treatment including stem cells this past fall. I leased land from him for deer hunting and spent many great hours at his house during deer seasons past. Really missed that this past season due to his illness and just seem to have a hole in my life. He was also a mentor in my work life, a great fellow who never met a stranger and encouraged all those he met.

RIP and GodSpeed, Ken!
