With this foul weather and nothing better to do I’ve been doing some reloading. While doing the reloading and tossing spent primers in a can I use for spent primers I decided to weigh the can. I now have over five pounds od spent primers.

So, being bored I started asking myself, “What can I use these for?”

Then the stupid one idea I had was……….. a person could carry them in their vehicle and if they got stuck in snow they could throw some under the tires to get traction. Probably not the brightest idea I’ve ever had.

Anybody have any other stupid ideas for uses of spent primers?

Keep them. You can remove the anvil and put a match head in to reuse them. At least that is what I read somewhere. Anarchist cookbook if I remember correctly. (which I may not)

Then this summer someone drives along a smooth road, hits what feels like gravel, and stops to look at his tires. Finds something embedded in the siping.

“WTH are all these spent primers doing here??”
